- The SAP Test system is called IDES (Internet Demonstration and Evaluation System)
- To practice your learnings you must need a test server & Client application.
- IDES server providers charge a monthly/annual fee to the purchaser. (Not necessarily official)
- IDES server must be added to SAP GUI Client software and configured to access. sometimes it may require a dedicated VPN connection or installation inside a VMware.
3. Find an SAP Mentor
Take support & guidance to clear understanding/Doubts.
- It is very essential to find a Mentor/Expert necessarily from the same SAP Module who has been in real-time working as SAP Consultant.
- You need someone to give you an outline of ERP software and the topic-related queries.
- Mentors could also guide you to crack interviews, and share tips & techniques to crack down real-time or scenario-based questions asked during the interview
- Mentors could help you understand important SAP Technical & Business Terminologies.
4. Selecting a Learning Material or Video Lecture.
Choose Reading Materials/ Switch to Video lectures
- Choose SAP official Materials to start with the Learning.
- Video Lectures on various modules are also popular and could be used for learning.
- You must choose a course from the Beginner level and complete it till advanced.
- SAP official learning materials have good exercises for practice and are highly recommended for the concept.
5. Learning SAP Methodologies, Project types & others.
Learn about SAP projects, Methods of implementation & Support
- Learn about different types of SAP Projects like Implementation, Rollout, Upgrade, Migration & Support, etc.
- Understand SAP implementation methodologies & other common SAP project activities like Cutover, Client copy, Go-Live, regression testing, etc
6. Preparing for the Interview
Prepare yourself with confidence and the right hold of knowledge.
