Cloud
- The S/4HANA system is hosted and runs on servers owned and managed by SAP or a third-party cloud provider.

- offers flexibility, scalability, and reduced upfront costs.
- Minimal customization can do.
- Automatic updates and maintenance on the cloud (quarterly basis etc.)
- Less control over critical data and processes.
- SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) prefer it.
Hybrid
- The S/4HANA system is hosted both on-premise and on the cloud.
- Allowing organizations to run some applications on-premise while others in the cloud. Ex. ECC On premise & CRM on Cloud.
- Customization is suitable for a mix.
- Flexibility and scalability with Better control over critical data and processes.
- Mix Upgrade
- Any company – depends on the need.
Managed services
- A third-party provider manages the S/4HANA system on behalf of the organization.
- A third-party provider handles all aspects of the system’s maintenance, support, and upgrades.
- No investments in hardware and software infrastructure are needed.
- A cost-effective way to manage S/4HANA system.
- Any company – depends on the need.
